Global Q&A: ‘If you could choose one alternative energy source to develop which would it be?’

Lima, Perú: Regina Carrera, 50, Sales Representative: I would use solar energy. Recently I worked for an area in the Peruvian highlands where I observed the use of this energy on some farms and in many houses in the villages of Puno and Cerro de Pasco. A metal table is used to gather energy that is projected into their rooms, creating warmth and light. You feel very warm inside the houses in these regions that are cold. I believe that in this way the environment would not be destroyed—the ozone layer, flora, fauna, et cetera would be protected, and current energy would be supplied. It's an option for current projects of a country, and it will influence their development.

Solar energy is tops, because its benefits are numerous, to include clean energy, an endless supply, and minimal cost—virtually free. This is what Epoch Times reporters from areas such as Chile to United Arab Emirates discovered when they asked locals, “If you could choose one alternative energy source to develop which would it be?”
