Global Q&A: ‘Do you think playing with toy guns teaches children to be violent?’

Tove Henriksson, 10, Student, Stockholm, Sweden: I think that it can be fun for a while, but children that play with guns too much can be tempted to buy a real gun when they grow up, and maybe want to have real guns someday, and this is not good. (The Epoch Times)

Some recognize toy gunplay as fine for children, emphasizing home environment or video games as having a greater impact toward violence. Others would choose toys for their children with less violent associations. This is what Epoch Times reporters from Mexico to Russia discovered when they asked locals:

“Do you think playing with toy guns teaches children to be violent?”
