Beetlejuice actor Glenn Shadix, known for his role as Otho in Tim Burton´s 1988 comedy, died after falling in his condo in Alabama on Tuesday, according to media reports.
A family member confirmed his death with The Birmingham News.
“It looks like he fell and hit his head in the kitchen, and that’s the cause of death,” his sister said. She added that prior to his death, Shadix suffered from problems with mobility and had to use a wheelchair.
Shadix starred in more than 70 movies and TV shows in his lifetime.
Funeral service will be arranged at Lakeside Baptist Church in his hometown Birmingham on Sept. 11, according to Shadix´s official website.
