A coach at Palmdale High School in Los Angeles County was arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a minor, authorities say.
Marcus Williams, 38, was arrested on Thursday. Police found him in his vehicle with a minor, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Williams is the girls varsity basketball coach at Palmdale High School, NBC Los Angeles reported.
Detectives are looking to speak with additional victims, ABC-7 reported.
Sheriff’s deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle parked near 45th Street East and East Avenue Q12, finding Williams with an underage girl who is believed to be a player on the high school team he coached, NBC reported.
Williams was arrested and booked suspicion of several counts of lewd acts with a minor, the LA Sheriff’s Department said.
He’s being held in lieu of $405,000 bail, and he will appear in court on Tuesday.
