A post going viral on Facebook titled “Girl Was An Aware What She Have Inside Her...” before she cut off her pants is bogus.
The post contains an image of a girl on a hospital bed. It entices users to click on the post but redirects users to a website that asks them to download a rogue app on Facebook.
Per Hoax-Slayer: “Next, you are taken to a video ‘news’ site that host two videos. The second video is a normal embedded YouTube video that tells the tale of a girl who did not know she was pregnant until she began having her baby.”
“But, the first video on the page is blacked out. A notice on the top of the page informs you that you must download and install a video plugin to watch a high definition version of the video. And clicking the ‘Play’ button on the video takes you to a page that again instructs you to download the plugin,” it added.
Online Threat Alerts adds more:
The fake and deceptive video sharing website and post below: “This Girl Was An Aware What She Have Inside Her, Not until They Cut Off Her Pants! Shocking,” are considered malicious and spammy. The website will attempt to trick you into giving it access to your Facebook account and take you to malicious advertisements that will attempt to trick you into installing malicious software on your computer. If you are taken to the website below or similar ones, please do not give it access to your Facebook account and do not install any software that you are prompt to download.
