The Gilroy Police Department is reporting a gas line that ruptured on Santa Theresa Boulevard between Ballybunion Drive and Club Drive on Aug. 23, has been repaired.
The leak closed Santa Theresa Boulevard for several hours as PG&E crews responded to fix the gas line.
The police department reported at 8:22 p.m. on Aug. 23, that the repairs have been completed and the roadway has been reopened.
The leak started after a construction crew struck the gas line, police said.
Police were asking residents to avoid the area as PG&E crews responded to repair the gas line.
