Gilas Pilipinas will take on Ukraine in a 2014 FIBA World Cup warm up game on Monday, August 18.

The teams are set to face off in Antibes, France at 8 p.m. PHT (3 p.m. EEST).

The game will be broadcast on TV5, with a replay on August 19 at 10:30 p.m. on Aksyon TV.

Live streaming will be available through TV5.

Gilas lost to Australia on Sunday, despite 20 points and 10 rebounds from Andray Blatche of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. Jayson Castro chipped in 12 points while Jeff Chan added 11. The NBA players on Australia led the team to the win, including Aron Baynes of the San Antonio Spurs and Cameron Bairstow of the Chicago Bulls.

Gilas previously lost to France but beat the ACB Select Team.

After playing Ukraine on Monday, Gilas will play the Basque National Team on Thursday, Angola on Saturday, and the Dominican Republic next Monday.

The team’s pre-World Cup play ends against Egypt on Tuesday, August 26.

The Philippines will start World Cup play on Saturday, August 30 against Croatia. They’re in Group B with Argentina, Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico, and Senegal.

The Philippines will play Greece on Sunday, August 31; Argentina on Monday, September 1; Puerto Rico on Wednesday, September 3; and Senegal on Thursday, September 4.

The top four teams from the group after the initial games will advance to the knockout rounds.
