Gilas Pilipinas takes on the Basque National Team on Thursday, August 21.

The Philippines national squad is preparing for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, which starts on August 30.

The match will tip-off at 8 p.m. PHP.

It will be broadcast on TV5.

Live streaming will be available through TV5.

The game will be replayed at 10:30 p.m. on Aksyon TV.

After this game, Gilas will play Angola on Saturday, the Dominican Republic next Monday, and Egypt on Tuesday, August 26.

The Philippines will start World Cup play on Saturday, August 30 against Croatia. They’re in Group B with Argentina, Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico, and Senegal.

The Philippines will play Greece on Sunday, August 31; Argentina on Monday, September 1; Puerto Rico on Wednesday, September 3; and Senegal on Thursday, September 4.

The top four teams from the group after the initial games will advance to the knockout rounds.

The team has lost all of its exhibitions this tour, except against the ACB Select Team.

In its last game, the team lost 65-114 to Ukraine. Gilas was playing without naturalized NBA player Andray Blatche, and point guard Paul Lee.

Blatche replaced Marcus Douthit as the Philippines naturalized player while Lee took over the spot left by injured Larry Fonacier.

Coach Chot Reyes still has to finalize the 12-man roster for the World Cup.

Teams must submit the final roster on August 29, the day before the tournament starts.
