Giants win tug of war match with Jets. Signed Rodgers-Cromartie

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -  The Giants have agreed on a deal with free agent CB Dominique Rodgers, a source confirmed on Monday. 

Rodgers-Cromartie, 27,  agreed on a five-year deal thats worth $35M with $14M guaranteed. He will also receive a $10M roster bonus. 

Over the weekend, it was a tug of war match between the Jets and the Giants to sign DRC. (Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie) According to league sources, both teams have shown interest in him but it came to automatic conclusions on Sunday that the Giants wanted him more when Rodgers-Cromartie scheduled to visit again. (Sunday for the interview, Monday for his physical). One more than the amount of Jets visits. 

Last season with the Denver Broncos, DRC recorded three interceptions. In his six year career, he has a total of 19 interceptions. 

The Giants have been adding tons of quality defensive backs this past week. Signed safety Quentin Demps, CB Walter Thurmond, LB Jameel McClain, and now CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
