Gia Allemand, a former star of the “Bachelor” season 14, died in the hospital, according to reports on Wednesday. She was 29.

E! News reported that she was declared brain dead on Wednesday.Early reports said that she had died.

“@GiaAllemand is on life support w little pulse and barely breathing ..cause unknown ..next 48 hours critical please pray for Gia everyone,” her close friend, Melinda Farina, wrote on Twitter.

A family member confirmed with TMZ that she died.

The cause is unclear.

Allemand was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans on Monday with an unknown ailment.

Allemand’s mother and her boyfriend, Ryan Anderson, who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans, were by her side when she passed away, according to E! News.

On Twitter, a number of people expressed their condolences.

“Incredibly sad to hear about the passing of Gia Allemand. She was lovely. I know the whole bachelor franchise feeling such sadness today,” wrote Access Hollywood’s Laura Saltman.

Another wrote: “I feel personally affected by @GiaAllemand’s death..I felt like I knew her.....RIP :(((((( #sosad.”
