A viral Facebook post claiming there’s a ghost caught on tape is nothing more than a Faecebook scam.

The post claims there is a “[SHOCKING VIDEO] GHOST CAUGHT ON TAPE!!!!!!” but there is none.

It shows a photo of people apparently dancing or doing exercise with a circle around one of them, saying he’s a ghost.

When one clicks on the post, the user is redirected to a website that is designed to look like Facebook.

The user is asked to share the post before seeing the alleged content, which then spreads the scam even further.

After that, bogus survey scams are then presented to the user. These scams can ask for personal information like your phone number, address, and e-mail.

The surveys generate revenue from the scammers, who can sell the personal information to marketing agencies.

It is strongly recommended not to fill out this information or share the fake video.

If you have shared the post, it’s best to delete any instances of it.

Similar fake Facebook posts claiming to have a video when it’s just a scam have gone viral in the past. Recently, there has been ones claiming to have video footage of Justin Bieber killing a 7-year-old boy in a DUI crash and one saying that Rihanna died.
