Several storms in Florida are flooding areas including Statesboro and one that is moving toward Carrollton has the potential to develop into a tornado.

Police officers in Statesboro are telling people to stay off the roads for now amid “widespread” flooding, reported WSAV. Radar data from the National Weather Service shows at least 1.5 inches of rain dropping an hour in the surrounding area.

There’s also a tornado watch in effect for Carrollton and flood advisories in effect for parts of southeast South Carolina.
