A new report claims that George Clooney’s wedding has turned into a “nightmare” that costs $220 million and has included his lawyers “fighting” with his fiance’s legal team.

And the couple’s wedding planner has quit.

Clooney, 53, and high-profile lawyer Amal Alamuddin, 36, are planning on getting married at Clooney’s home at Lake Como in Laglio, Italy, but things are going badly, according to the tabloid National Enquirer.

Part of the problem is that Clooney’s lawyers are having trouble getting Alamuddin’s legal team to agree to a prenuptial.

“Clooney is worth an estimated $220 million. Given his shaky track record with women over the years, including a difficult divorce from his first wife and the brief longevity of most Hollywood marriages in general, I think he needs to make sure he has a prenuptial agreement that’s ironclad,” New York divorce lawyer Raoul Felder told the Enquirer.

“He has a lot to worry about and a lot to lose if he doesn’t proceed with the utmost care and caution. The fact that (his fiancée) is a lawyer is strike one against him. I expect his lawyers are being very careful and ‘fighting’ her lawyers over every point.”

The wedding trouble has also stemmed from the planner quitting after Clooney changed locations from Lake Como to Venice--then changed it back to the original site.

“Before switching locations, George told the planner he wanted a sponsor,” a source claimed. “Now it all seems disorganized.”

Problems also include the guest list, which currently includes both Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston--Brad Pitt’s current and ex-wives.

“George is extremely concerned that by inviting both these women, they'll undoubtedly try to upstage each other and in so doing take the spotlight off the bride,” a source said.

A date hasn’t been announced but the wedding is supposedly planned for sometime in September.

Dlisted obtained the marriage license that the couple picked up earlier this month in London, confirming that the couple will marry in Italy.
