A report is claiming George Clooney is trying to have a child with wife Amal Alamuddin after their recent marriage.

Clooney, 53, said to a friend that just days before the wedding ceremony, he confessed that he stopped using birth control.

“George, who swore for years that he‘d never, ever marry again or procreate, smiled wryly to his close friend and confessed in these poetic words: ’If it happens, it happens … because I’m not doing ANYTHING to prevent it, so … !' ” a source told the National Enquirer.

During the wedding, Amal’s father Ramzi Alamuddin said, “Now it’s time for grandchildren!” according to Us magazine.

However, a few weeks ago, E! News and other media outlets denied rumors that Alamuddin is pregnant. A representative for Clooney told E! she isn’t pregnant.

In 2006, Clooney gave an interview saying that he probably won’t ever have children.

“I don’t have that thing in me that says, ’must do it'. I don’t see myself ever having kids,” he told People magazine at the time. “[...] everything in my life has changed over periods of time … and the world does change,” he added.
