Game of Thrones is slated to come on at 9 p.m. on HBO on Sunday, June 1, after a weeklong hiatus, and a live stream is on HBO Go.

The latest episode will likely pit “The Mountain” Gregor Cleagane against Oberyn Martell in a battle.

It’s the third-to-last episode in Season 4 before the finale in mid-June.

Dan Weiss and David Benioff, the writers for the show, told EW.com that “it’s one of the best -- if not the best -- combat scenes we’ve done so far.”

“It’s not just people hacking at each other with spears and swords. It’s the culmination of 20 years of anger and hatred and thirst for vengeance coming to a head in this amazing set piece that [stunt coordinator Paul Herbert and swordmaster C.C. Smiff] have put together. The fight delivers beyond our expectations,” Weiss said.

Alex Graves, who directed some of the episodes in Season 4, talked to IB Times about the show’s direction.

He said Oberyn “is a very intriguing character, and he’s going to have a very large footprint on the show, ultimately, and then Pedro Pascal was cast to play him and Pedro is without equal. Pedro is this very lovely man who is an extraordinary talent who would come in and play with such ease, and nuance, this hedonistic, screwed-up guy that’s very much not like Pedro. Then we would go to spear practice and I’ve never had an actor grab a weapon and get into a stunt fight sequence that quickly with that level of ease, and he was just mind-blowing, and everybody was just crazy about him.”
