Americans in 36 states voted for governors in the midterms, and all but two races have been called.
Of the called races, 17 are for Republicans and 17 are for Democrats.

Republican Gov. Kay Ivey, 78, beat speech therapist Yolanda Flowers with about 67 percent of the vote.
Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy, 61, is in the lead with 51.2 percent of the vote, but the race has not been called because of Alaska’s ranked-choice voting system. Democrat Les Gara, 59, has 23 percent of the vote and former Gov. Bill Walker, labeled nonpartisan, has 20 percent.
Republican Sarah Huckabee Sanders, 40, a White House press secretary during the Trump administration, prevailed over Democrat Chris Jones in the race to succeed term-limited GOP Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Sanders received 63 percent of the vote.
Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, 52, is in the lead over Republican Kari Lake, a former television anchor, in another race that has not yet been called.
Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom, 55, trumped state Republican Sen. Brian Dahle, 57, by about 1.2 million votes.
Democrat Gov. Jared Polis, 47, won reelection with 58 percent of the vote. He was challenged by Republican businesswoman Heidi Ganahl, 56.
Democrat Gov. Ned Lamont, 68, won with 56 percent of the vote in a race against Republican financial analyst Robert Stefanowski, 60,
Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, 44, triumphed over former Rep. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.), 66, with 59 percent of the vote.
Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, 59, beat former Democrat state Rep. Stacey Abrams, 48, by about 300,000 votes in a rematch of the 2018 gubernatorial race.
Democrat Lt. Gov. Josh Green, 52, beat Republican former Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona, 67, in a race to succeed term-limited Democrat Gov. David Ige. Green won 63 percent of the vote.
Republican Gov. Brad Little, 68, prevailed over Democrat teacher Stephen Heidt, 62. Little received 60.5 percent of the vote.
Democrat Gov. J.B. Pritzker, 57, won a second term in a race against Republican state Sen. Darren Bailey, 56, with 54 percent of the vote.
Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds, 63, beat Democrat businesswoman Deidre DeJear by about 226,000 votes.
Democrat Gov. Laura Kelly, 72, won reelection against Republican Attorney General Derek Schmidt, 54, though she received under 50 percent of the vote.
Democrat Gov. Janet Mills, 74, triumphed over former Maine Gov. Paul LePage, 74, a Republican who was prevented from running for a third term in 2018 due to term limits. Mills earned 55 percent of the vote.
With 62 percent of the vote, Democrat author Wes Moore, 44, trumped state GOP Del. Dan Cox, 48, and will succeed term-limited Republican Gov. Larry Hogan.
Democrat Attorney General Maura Healey, 51, won the race over former Republican state Rep. Geoff Diehl, 53, by about 700,000 votes. Current Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, a Republican, could not run due to term limits.
Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, 51, won reelection against Republican Tudor Dixon, 45, a businesswoman. Whitmer received 54.5 percent of the vote.
With 52 percent of the vote, Democrat Gov. Tim Walz, 58, secured another term in the governor’s mansion, beating Republican doctor Scott Jensen, 67.
Republican State Board of Regents member Jim Pillen, 66, received 60 percent of the vote, beating Democrat state Sen. Carol Blood, 61. GOP Gov. Pete Ricketts, 58, could not run for a third term due to term limits.
Republican Gov. Chris Sununu, 48, won a third term with 57 percent of the vote, prevailing over Democrat state Sen. Tom Sherman, 65, after deciding against running for the U.S. Senate.
Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, 63, beat Republican meteorologist Mark Ronchetti, 49, with 52 percent of the vote.
Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul, 64, who was promoted after former Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned, won a full term after defeating Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.). Zeldin, 42, received 47 percent of the vote, losing by about 325,000 votes.
With about 49 percent of the vote, Republican Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo, 60, triumphed over Democrat Gov. Steve Sisolak, 68.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine, 75, earned another term with 63 percent of the vote, trumping Democrat former Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, 46.
Republican Gov. Kevin Stitt, 49, will remain in office after beating Democrat Superintendent Joy Hofmeister, 58, with 55.5 percent of the vote.
Former Democrat state Rep. Tina Kotek, 56, will succeed term-limited Democrat Gov. Kate Brown after prevailing over former Oregon state Rep. Christine Drazan, 50, a Republican. Kotek received 47 percent of the vote.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, 49, a Democrat, will succeed term-limited Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf after receiving nearly 3 million votes in a race against state Republican Sen. Doug Mastriano, 58, who received 2.2 million.
Democrat Gov. Dan McKee, 71, won with 58 percent of the vote over Republican businesswoman Ashley Kalus.
Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, 75, trumped Democrat former Rep. Joe Cunningham, 40, by about 296,000 votes.
Republican Gov. Kristi Noem, 50, won her reelection bid, beating state Democrat Rep. Jaime Smith, 51, with 62 percent of the vote.
With 65 percent of the vote, Republican Gov. Bill Lee, 63, secured a second term after defeating Democrat Jason Martin, a doctor.
Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, 65, won with 55 percent of the vote, beating former Democrat Rep. Beto O'Rourke, 50.
Democrat Gov. Tony Evers, 71, beat Republican businessman Tim Michels, 60, by about 90,000 votes.
With 78.7 percent of the vote, Republican Gov. Mark Gordon, 65, prevailed over Democrat educator Theresa Livingston.
Republican Gov. Phil Scott, 64, secured 71 percent of the vote, beating former Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) intern Democrat Brenda Siegel.
