Erica Barriero-Rapp jumped out of a first-floor window when she found out that there were felony warrants for her arrest in heroin and weapons related charges.
Rapp fled with a child in her brown Honda minivan, leading the police on a wild chase through the streets of Springdale, Ohio.
Eventually, the police called off the chase when they found out that a child was in the van.
“We’re consistently trying to assess the risk to the public as opposed to immediately apprehend,” Lt. Michael Ott told WLWT.
Rapp has made off to a motel in Fairfeld, then bolted when the manager threatened to report her to the authorities.
She also faces charges of endangerment. It’s unclear how old the child is.
