The number of large-scale protests has been increasing throughout China in recent years, and more people are becoming involved. Just after the Deng Yujiao rape case, a young cook working in a hotel in Shishou City of Hubei Province was brutally killed. To cover the evidence, local authorities sent over tens of thousands of soldiers to take away the body.
“When a political power is dying out, there will be corrupt officials and people will rise up and protest to retaliate. It simply follows the laws of nature,” remarked Jia Jia, a former government official who escaped from China and is currently living in New Zealand.
Although the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims it offered a compromise in the Deng Yujiao case, Jia Jia disagrees. “The CCP actually had no other choice as the soldiers refused to fire guns at protesters. This reveals that the CCP is soon going to die out!” he stated.
“Why do people choose protests as a way to solve these types of problems?” asked Jia. “Because there is no justice in mainland China. The Shishou incident is a typical example of safeguarding human rights to oppose tyranny.”
Jia Jia believes that it is only a matter of time before the CCP’s political power will completely dissolve. However, he doesn’t foresee the disintegration manifesting in a massive bloody incident. “[The CCP] will die out because nobody will listen to it anymore,” he said.
Taiwan Zhongshan University Management Department professor Yang Shuoying believes that from the way the CCP has handled the Deng Yujiao incident, it is evident that the CCP is scared and is near its end.
Yang forecasts that other incidents similar to the Deng case will cause the collapse of the CCP.
“The CCP has been controlling mainland China through fear. During its 60 years of rule, political movements have happened successively to instill constant fear in the people’s hearts. However, the frequent protests that have happened recently show that China’s fear tactics are losing their effectiveness. The last few decades of history that has been built on the blood and tears of the Chinese will soon come to an end,” Yang declared.
