Smartphones including some hot models such as Droid Incredible and BlackBerry Curve are free this holiday season at certain retailers after a carrier agreement.

The Droid Incredible, one of the holiday season's hottest phones, will be free or cost 1 cent at Best Buy, Wirefly, or Amazon Wireless.

Best Buy is offering more than a dozen free smartphone deals at its stores as well as online at www.bestbuy.com/freesmartphones and include the business user-friendly BlackBerry Cruve, as well as such selections as the LG Vortex, LG Optimus T, the Sony Ericsson Xperia, and the HTC Aria.

Wirefly , an online cell phone retailer, is giving away smartphones such as the Sony Ericsson Xperia, BlackBerry Storm2 9550, and the Motorola CLIQ.

Amazon Wireless is selling some smartphones for 1 cent, including the Samsung Captivate Android phone, the Droid Incredible, and the HTC Aria.

To take advantage of the free offer, smartphone buyers will have to agree to activation as well as a contract with their carrier.

All three retailers also offer free shipping and Best Buy guarantees that phones will be delivered by Christmas.
