Free Narcan training will take place in Port Jervis on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. at Catholic Charities. Narcan is an overdose antidote that when administered revives people who overdose on heroin and other forms of opioids. It has had a miraculous effect aiding first responders to help people to live who may have otherwise died from a bout of excessive drug use.

To reserve a spot in the training call 845-856-6344. Reservations are necessary as Narcan kits are limited.
