Frazier Glenn Cross has been arrested as a person of interest in the killing of three people at two Jewish centers Kansas.

Cross Jr., 73, of Missouri, is suspected of shooting a 14-year-old boy and the boy’s grandfather in the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park before gunning down a woman at the retirement community Village Shalom just a couple blocks away.

Cross. Jr of Missouri is a former Ku Klux Klan official and has a history of racism and antisemitism, law enforcement officials told NBC.

The Southern Poverty Law Center says Cross is known to them. He uses aliases including Glenn Miller or Frazier Glenn Miller, and is the former Grand Dragon of the Carolina Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Cross Jr. was active in the Army for 20 years--including two tours in Vietnam--before he was forced to retire for being linked to the Klan. He later went on to advocate violence against black people and Jews as a member of the neo-Nazi group called The Order.

In addition, Miller identified as a write-in candidate for the U.S> Senate from Missouri, and tried purchasing some advertising time on several radio stations, which bitterly denounced Jews,

the federal government and African-Americans.

“We’ve sat back and allowed the Jews to take over our government, our banks and our media,” one radio commercial said, reported the Kansas City Star.

Police said that the man used a shotgun in the slayings on Sunday and when arrested he also had a handgun.

Police are investigating the shootings as hate crimes.

Besides the three deaths, three others were hit by gunfire.
