Four service stations in Sydney’s west have been held up by armed bandits overnight and police believe the incidents are linked.

Police say a white Honda CRV was used in all the robberies—the same type and colour of car as one found on fire on Monday morning.

The first call came in just before 2 a.m., when a man armed with a knife entered a service station on Flushcombe Road, Prospect, and threatened an employee. The man left empty-handed and fled on foot.

A short time later two men in a white Honda CRV stopped at a service station at nearby Doonside where a man threatened a male employee with a knife before stealing cash and fleeing in the CRV.

About half an hour later, police responded to reports of an armed robbery on Cabramatta Rd in Bonnyrigg, to Prospect’s south.

Police were told a man armed with a knife and wearing a surgical mask threatened the male attendant before stealing cash and fleeing in a white Honda CRV.

The next armed robbery happened at Blacktown, with a man entering a service station and threatening a male employee with a knife before running away empty-handed.

Finally, just before 5.20 a.m., police were called to a service station on the same street one suburb across—Bungarribee Road in Doonside.

Again, a man threatened a male employee with a knife, and took off with stolen cash in a white Honda CRV.

At about 6 a.m., a white Honda CRV was discovered on fire on Hyland Rd, Greystanes.

The car has been seized and police have established crime scenes at all locations.
