If you crave traveling, love to see new places and can’t stand the thought of rotting away in one place for long, if a road map and toll fare is all you need to feel right at home, then put these bucket list-worthy destinations on your to-see list. These are the best cities in America, ones you have to see before you die because they provide the most interesting and diverse attractions in this country — they are surreal, unbelievable, and extraordinarily fun.

New Orleans: French Quarter Connection

While some cities express their own American character in a unique way, the French Quarter in New Orleans has managed to nearly become a whole other country unto itself. Steeped in a deep French-evolved culture, this city within a city is unlike any you will ever see.

The streets are paved in cobblestones and at night the city comes alive with lights, music and the sounds of life. On any given night you will hear cutting-edge electronica, soulful, deep-country blues, and hard-edge rock and roll, all living in perfect harmony.

Whatever your interests — be it traditional architecture, Southern American history, jazz, or art, you'll find it here. There’s even a Harrah’s Casino to test your luck, and let’s not forget about Mardi Gras, a true must-see.

New York City: See the Big Apple

It’s certainly no surprise to find New York City listed here. If you have not seen it, you have to go here at least once before you die. But going just once won’t give you time to see all this city has to offer. Once you peel back the layers of culture and history there’s much more to do here than marvel at the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building.

New York has a thriving music scene in Manhattan and Brooklyn, one of the world’s best gastronomical centers featuring top gourmet restaurants like Le Bernardin, and Bouley. Of course there’s also the bustling Times Square.

South Beach Miami: Party Until Dawn

Miami has one of the hottest nightclub scenes in the country, attracting top celebrities like A-Rod and LeBron, and some of the most beautiful women on the planet. With clubs like LIV featuring futuristic lighting and domed ceilings, you'll be in for the night of your life.

Even if you are past the partying age, it’s still worth a visit. Attractions like the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, and Perez Art Museum Miami are must-see destinations.

See Sin City, Las Vegas

Las Vegas has become a destination not just for gambling but for world-class entertainment, gourmet dining, art and nightlife. From fascinating shows like Cirque Du Soleil, and classics like Jersey Boys, to wild clubs like Chateau and the 65,000-square foot Drai’s Nightclub, you simply can’t go to your grave without partying down in this town. You have to see the new Cosmopolitan, a $4.16 billion hotel with 3000 rooms.
