Bond has been denied for a man facing charges he stabbed an ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of a central Florida Home Depot store.

Orlando television station WESH reports that Daniel Ortiz faces a first-degree murder charge for the fatal stabbing of Silvia Castillo-Aguilera on Friday.

Authorities say the two had been in a relationship, but it’s not clear what led up to the stabbing.

Authorities say they met in the afternoon in the parking lot of the Home Depot in Kissimmee, Florida.

After she was stabbed, the victim rushed into the store where someone called for an ambulance. She was rushed to a hospital where she later died.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office added that Aguilera was in a relationship with Ortiz, Inside Edition reported.

“My stomach dropped,” one shopper told WKMG. He watched people trying to revive her after the assault.

“I saw a heavyset man sitting on a lawn chair out of the parking lot, right out in the open,” the man said. “He had quite a bit of blood on him and no shirt on. I kept hearing him say repeatedly, ‘I did everything I could, I did everything I could,’” he added.
