First Lady Melania Trump wishes everyone a successful upcoming school year as schools reopen and children head back to the classrooms.

“As students across the country head back to classes, I want to wish everyone a successful school year! #BeBest,” the first lady said in a message on Twitter on Sep. 3.

According to the National Center for Education Statistics, about 56.6 million children will attend elementary, middle, and high schools across the United States this year.

Melania recently initiated “Be Best,” a campaign that focuses on issues concerning children and works to motivate them to be the best in whatever path they choose.

“It remains our generation’s moral imperative to take responsibility and help our children manage the many issues they are facing today, including encouraging positive social, emotional, and physical habits,” the first lady said on the Be Best page on the White House website.

The campaign is designed to promote organizations, programs, and people working to help children to overcome the problems they face while growing up in today’s world.

“BE BEST will champion the many successful well-being programs that provide children with the tools and skills required for emotional, social, and physical health,” according to the website.

The campaign has three pillars: Well-being, Online Safety, and Opioid Abuse. In an earlier message on Twitter, Melania said that she will continue to highlight resources through the campaign.

“Through #BeBest I will continue to promote programs and highlight resources available to all those who are seeking help with this national opioid epidemic,” she said.

As parents get busier with the daily routine of sending children to school, social media became full of stories, pictures, and wishes for the new school year.

Many parents have shared “the first day of school” pictures.

A parent with the Instagram account Lindsay Letters shared a picture of her daughter and her best friend who was not able to start school together.

“Would you guys join me today in praying for Eva’s bestie, Bray? Today is the first day of school in Sun Prairie, and Bray is feeling down starting this year without E. The girls would want me to tell you they are actually ’soul sisters,' and they spend almost every waking moment together. They are like fire and ice, totally the odd couple, and the actual cutest things you’ve ever seen,” said the mother.

It’s not only the first day of school for children and their excited parents, but also for many teachers who are starting a new school year.
