The very first baby born in 2018 in New York City was identified as Ariana, born in Flushing, Queens, at 12:01 a.m.

The 25-year-old mother, Tania Shirin, gave birth to the 4-pound, 11.5-ounce, 18 inch-long girl, officials told the New York Daily News.
