A fireball was seen streaking across the sky from the San Francisco Bay Area on Friday night.
Ray Chavez, a photographer for the Bay Area News Group, snapped two pictures of the fireball from San Lorenzo, California and shared them on Twitter.
The fireballs happened right after sunset, around 5:30 p.m. PDT, he said.
“Really bright,” he said.
“I was covering a football game, lucky to have the #400mm with me.”
The spotting comes just two days after meteors were spotted over Los Angeles and San Diego.
