The anti-wrinkle drug Botox is commonplace in western society, but its restricted use in many countries has led to a nascent black market. In Finland, customs recently uncovered an attempt to smuggle Botox into the country illegally, along with other similar drugs to the tune of 150,000 ($US189,657) euros.
Botox is a prescription drug in Finland, but some of the other drugs discovered by customs are banned altogether. Most of them come from sources outside the European Union. Finnish custom officials say that they are fighting a constant battle against the illegal import of pharmaceutical drugs.
