On the day of the meeting between President Bush and Chinese leader Hu Jintao, two key sources who exposed the Sujiatun concentration camp and live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners decided to come out in public. They attended a rally at McPherson Park in Washington DC, and gave public testimony on the Chinese communist regime’s crime against Falun Gong practitioners. The rally was attended by several hundred people. Below is the testimony of Annie, the female source.

Greetings, everyone. My name is Annie. I worked as a staff member in this (Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis) Hospital in Sujiatun. Some time ago, you heard what I said through an audio recording. I am very sorry I was not able to stand out at that time. Today, I want to say to you, although on surface the situation is not very good for us, things did not happen in one day, so they cannot be resolved in one day.

My ex-husband and I worked in this hospital between 1999 and 2004. My ex-husband used to be a neurosurgeon who was involved in removing organs from Falun Gong practitioners. Here I want to first say apology to you for him.

Our hospital started to detain these Falun Gong practitioners in 2001. At that time I did not know about it. I have known about it since 2003. Many doctors in this hospital were transferred back and forth, so some doctors knew about it and some did not. Live organ removal was conducted secretly. Since these practitioners were arrested without any formal procedures, I cannot obtain proof at this time to indicate they were detained there.

It is very possible that no one has been able to come out alive, but I am certain that some people were still imprisoned there without being killed (at the time of my first testimony). Many people in the hospital knew about this. Many doctors were involved in these operations in secret. Some other people know about it but do not dare to speak up, as they are afraid of being killed. They all avoid talking about it.

The Falun Gong practitioners detained there were mostly transferred from Dabei Prison, Masanjia Labor Camp, and some other prisons; some were arrested when they were practicing Falun Gong (in public). Many families did not know where they were imprisoned. Since the Chinese authorities exercise a policy of “not being responsible” for killing Falun Gong practitioners, the death of Falun Gong practitioners is not a very big issue for Chinese prisons.

I used to hear my ex-husband say that most of them were strong and healthy and many were still breathing when their organs were removed. After the removal, many of them were thrown into the (hospital’s) crematory oven, so that no trace was left. For others, after their organs were removed, the openings on their bodies were stitched. Some families knew practitioners were detained here, so they would be asked to sign their agreement to have the bodies cremated in crematories outside.

My husband had asked not to perform these operations, but at that time he had no control. He knew that if he stopped, his wife, child and parents may all be killed. After I knew about it in 2003, I kept asking him to go abroad, which he finally agreed. So he stopped performing this kind of operation. But at the time he was threatened by various people, so he has been very afraid deep in his heart. Even today, he dares not to speak up.

What I want to say is, be it Falun Gong practitioners or other people in the society, even criminals, the Chinese government does not have the right to take their lives away. Now, although it is not possible to verify this (crime) in Sujiatun hospital [note: evidence has been removed from Sujiatun], this is only a tip of the iceberg. We can gradually investigate this in other prisons and hospitals.

I think with our sincere hearts, we will have a day when the truth is revealed. We will be able to save those Falun Gong practitioners who are still alive. I trust we will do better in the future.
