Two of the best players in the world set up a Wimbledon semi-final showdown with their respective straight-set wins Wednesday. Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, who’ve combined to win seven of the last nine Wimbledons, will meet Friday, for the first time ever at the All-England Club, for the right to play for the title.

Federer breezed past Mikhail Youzhny 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals Wednesday to advance to his 32nd career Grand Slam semi-final. The six-time Wimbledon winner had gone through a bit of a dry spell at his most successful venue though, having lost in the quarterfinals each of the last two years.

“Obviously it feels great being back in the semis, like I mentioned,” said Federer, according to Wimbledon’s website.

Meanwhile Djokovic’s 6-4, 6-1, 6-4 win over Florian Mayer put him in the semi-finals of his ninth straigh major.
