FBI Releases Photos: Photos from video taken during the Boston Marathon show two suspects.

Three days after the bombings during the Boston Marathon, authorities have released photos they say show two suspects believed to be behind the bombings.

Richard DesLauriers, FBI special agent in charge in Boston, said at a press conference that one of the suspects planted the bombs near the finish line. Both suspects are considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The FBI’s website crashed off and on within moments of releasing the images.

DesLauriers said the public can and should help the agency identify the suspects.

“For more than 100 years, the FBI has relied upon the public to be its eyes and ears,” he said.

The public should submit tips to the FBI via this website or call in tips to 1-800-CALL-FBI, but should not try to apprehend the suspects if they know or see them.

“No one should approach them. No should attempt to apprehend them except for law enforcement,” said Deslauriers.

“No bit of information, not matter how small or seemingly inconsequential is too small for us to see,” he added. “It is extremely important to contact us with any information about the identities of suspect 1 or suspect 2.”

As of April 18, more than 190 people were injured from the bombings, and three people have perished. The bombs went off near the finish line of the marathon, held on April 15.
