FBI and CIA analysts who worked on the investigation of the Trump campaign in 2016 were so concerned about what scrutiny of their work by the incoming administration might reveal that they took out professional liability insurance, according to text messages between FBI analysts released on Sept. 24.

“We all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” an FBI analyst wrote to a colleague on Jan. 10, 2017.
