A family that suspected their nanny of abusing their child set up a secret camera to catch her in the act.

Now the nanny is facing prosecution.

The footage shows Anastasia Zhelyabova, 31, smacking the 8-month-old boy on the face and bottom.

She also threw him on the floor after lifting him up.

The abuse came after the nanny grew angry because the boy wouldn’t take his bottle.

The boy’s mother, 26-year-old Elena Levendeeva of Russia, became concerned just two weeks after the nanny started, reported Metro.

The boy would cry every day after the nanny arrived, sparking the mother’s suspicion.

So she installed hidden cameras around the house.

Reviewing the footage from that first day’s recording, she saw the boy being abused.

“Due to frequent and continuous hysterical cries from our child we installed video cameras that recorded the beating and torturing,” the mother wrote on social media.

A police investigator said charges are forthcoming following an investigation, reported The Sun.

The nanny now faces up to 10 years in prison for child cruelty if convicted.
