BRISBANE, Australia—Brisbane Square, top of Brisbane Mall, became aglow with colorful banners and yellow T-shirts as Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners and families joined together on Saturday May 10, 2014 to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day.

Falun Dafa Day actually falls on May 13 and marks the day that Mr. Li Hongzhi first brought Falun Dafa to the public, 22 years ago. May 13 is also Mr. Li’s birthday.

A photo was taken with practitioners of Falun Gong wishing Mr. Li a happy birthday—part of the day’s celebration of World Falun Dafa Day.

Activities during the day included the demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises, the performance of dragon dance, making lotus flowers that were given to the public, and chatting with passersby about the benefits and goodness of Falun Dafa. Petition signatures were also collected to stop the organ harvesting from fellow practitioners in China.
