An alleged teaser photo from “Dishonored II”--which has the game’s logo--was leaked, claiming there would be information about the game during E3 in a few months, but it could just be like the “Fallout 4” hoax a few months ago.

The ad has the “Dishonored II” title and under that, it reads “witness the full reveal at E3 2014!” It also includes a Twitter hashtag “#DarknessOfTyvia” as well as the Arkane Stuios and Bethesda Softworks logo. Tyvia is a location in the game’s Empire of Isles.

The image was posted on All Games Beta and was also uploaded to website NeoGaf on Tuesday. It also shows what appears to be a PlayStation 4 light at the bottom.

The NeoGaf user who uploaded the image said he received it via an e-mail and never revealed the source. When another user asked about where the e-mail came from the uploader responded, “No, it’s the first time. I don’t who he is.”

“You just randomly got an email from a guy? Did you ever get an email from this guy before?” wrote a user on NeoGaf. “Seems like someone just playing around.”

Bethesda has not publicly commented on the image.

The company has not made any comments about a potential sequel for the popular action-adventure game

A few months ago, “Fallout 4” rumors flared up after a hoaxer posted a fake website dubbed “TheSurvivor2299.com”--which had cryptic morse code messages and cipher text that users on Reddit decoded.

The person who was behind it eventually confessed to the hoax on Reddit, saying they did it because Bethesda wouldn’t reveal if “Fallout 4” is in the works.

At the time of the Survivor2299 hoax, Bethesda wrote on Twitter: “If you don’t hear it through an official channel like this, assume all rumors and speculation are false.”
