A fake photo of tornado damage in Manhattan, Illinois was circulating on Twitter on Sunday before it was taken down.

Mark Moran, who shared the photo and alerted CBS Chicago of it, said that the photo showed “tornado wreckage” in Manhattan, and was taken by his cousin Robert, a resident of the area.

But he followed up his tweet 20 minutes later alerting people that he had been a victim of a “rude prank” by his cousin.

“My apologies my cousin just informed my this is a fake picture he ’took,'” he said.

“I realize I am at fault for putting this out but I in no way intended this,” he added.
