A raging brush fire is spreading through Fairfield, Calif., and burned several homes, according to reports.

The fire burned at least two homes on Tuesday, reported KTVU-TV.

The station, which said firefighters were on the scene fighting the blaze, said it is a 7-alarm fire.

The fire is threatening other structures.

KPIX-5 also confirmed the fire spread to several homes.

KCRA-3 television reported that 15 mph winds are helping fuel the fire. The station reported that two other homes might have started to catch fire.

The fire is located near Interstate 80 and Marigold Drive.
