Social-networking Web site Facebook is in no rush to become a publicly traded company, its 25-year-old CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal this week.

“If you don’t need that capital, then all the pressures are different, and the motivations (to go public) are not there in the same way,” Zuckerberg was quoted in the Journal. The company is currently funded by venture capital investors and other companies.

The popular site, which lets members connect, chat, and post updates online, counts more than 400 million users worldwide. Last year, Zuckerberg said that the company was a few years away from an initial public offering (IPO).
