How many of you remember watching the famous Korean hit drama series “Boys Over Flowers” that collected awards across Asia in 2009 and 2010?
Other than the four handsome flower boys in the series who won people’s hearts. There was Geum Jan-di, the ever-optimistic high school girl played by talented actress Ku Hyesun.
Ku started producing films back in 2008. She usually performs multiple roles on the job. In her latest film project “Daughter,” which will soon be released, Ku plays the lead role, in addition to being the director and script writer.
“Daughter” depicts a daughter who grew up in a difficult environment with her violent and puritanical mother. Due to this, she tries to break off relations with her mother, and the story ensues.
Ku is constantly challenging herself to improve her wide-range of skills. To keep a positive state of mind, during her spare time, Ku says enjoys drawing as a hobby. Who knows, maybe she'll next add being a master painter to her repertoire of talents.
