Do you remember the pitiful antagonist Ku Ma-jun in the hit drama of 2010 ‘King of Baking, Kim Takgu?’ Or the genius pediatric surgeon bordering on autism, Park Si-on in ‘Good Doctor?’ Or the talented conductor Cha Yoo-jin in the recent drama ‘Cantabile Tomorrow?’ Today, I’m going to introduce you to the Korean actor, Joo Won who played all of these roles.

The drama that made the audiences remember actor Joo Won was ‘King of Baking, Kim Takgu.’ Many overseas audiences  greatly enjoyed watching this drama. It has earned the title of “National Drama”.

The popularity of this drama was due to the excellent performance by all the cast members. Besides the well-known actors loved by many Koreans, such as Jun Kwang-ryul and Jeon In-hwa, we also saw new actors such as Yoon Shi-yoon, and Joo Won in the lead roles

This bold attempt has rarely been witnessed in the Korean TV industry. As it was Joo Won’s first time acting in a drama, many people in the production team were against the casting of Joo Won. But he has won us over.
