European Visitor Suspected of Anaheim Homicide

A Romanian native is being sought by Anaheim homicide detectives in connection with a fatal shooting in the northern Orange County city.

The Anaheim Police Department on Jan. 27 announced a $1 million arrest warrant ]for Florin Raducanu, 37, related to the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man.

Both the suspect and victim are from Romania and were in Orange County as visitors, police said. The victim, 42-year-old Aurel Trandafir, was wanted in his Eastern European homeland for robbery.

He was fatally shot at least once Jan. 24, about 7:47 p.m. at Abby’s Anaheimer Inn, at 1201 W. Katella Ave., police said.

Now homicide detectives are asking the public help them find their chief suspect. They said Raducanu is considered to be armed and dangerous, and is known to use numerous aliases.
