Before “The Bachelorette” star, Andi Dorfman introduced herself to the public during the premiere of the show on ABC on May 19, 2014, host Chris Harrison took time to pay tribute one of the contestants of the show, Eric Hill, who died in a tragic accident.

Hill, 31, was part of the 25 men competing for Dorfman’s heart. Hill was eliminated on the show soon after. After the show finished filming, the cast and Dorfman found out that Hill died in a paragliding accident.

Hill is from Citrus Heights, CA, he is 6' tall and his favorite actor is John Torturro. Some of his favorite movies included “Back to the Future,” “28 Days Later,” and “Up.”

He described his occupation on the ABC bios page as “Explorer.”

He also wrote that if he could be anyone in life, he'd be Nick Vujicic, the man who was born with no arms and legs. “If I could be as happy as he is in the state  he is in, I would never have another worry in my life,” Hill wrote.

ABC noted on the show’s page: “This entire season is dedicated to this vibrant, passionate man who was a memorable part of the Bachelor family.”
