Eric Baylor, the brother of Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams, was identified as a suspect in a stabbing case that involved Williams.

Willaims was reportedly stabbed in the thigh and was taken to the hospital on Sunday night.

He was stabbed during an altercation at his rental home in Tampa, Fla., according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Baylor, 23, is the prime suspect and hasn’t been captured yet.

We are trying to get in contact with the brother to see exactly what happened,” Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Cristal Bermudez Nunez told the paper. “Witnesses said they were horsing around, but the brother was not on the scene when we arrived.”

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Times is reporting Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Williams was stabbed in the thigh at his home and an arrest warrant has been issued for his brother.

The newspaper reported Williams was treated for a relatively minor laceration at St. Joseph’s Hospital and released.

According to the Times, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant Sunday night for 23-year-old Eric Baylor on a charge of aggravated battery/domestic violence after deputies were called toWilliams’ home in the Avila community north of Tampa.

The Buccaneers released a statement saying team officials were aware of the situation and were working withWilliams and the authorities to get additional information.

Williams signed a $40 million, six-year deal with the team last year. He caught 22 passes for 216 yards last season.
