U.S. Takes Equestrian Show Jumping Gold

The U.S. took the Olympic Team gold medal for Show Jumping on Monday on a tight course of fences with a breathtaking jump off with the Canadian Team.

The U.S. took the Olympic Team gold medal for Show Jumping on Monday on a tight course of fences with a breathtaking jump off with the Canadian Team. Canada’s team took the silver, and Norway took the bronze.

Historically, the U.S. has been a strong contender in the Olympic Show Jumping event with gold medals in the Athens 2004 Games in 2004 and in the Los Angeles 1984 Games.

The U.S. Olympic team combinations are McLain Ward of Brewster N.Y., on Sapphire, Beezie Madden of Cazenovia, N.Y., on Authentic, Laura Kraut of Wellington, Florida, on Cedric, and Will Simpson of Thousand Oaks, Ca., on Carlsson Van Dach.
