Popular social media influencer, Tucker Genal, best known for taking part in entertaining food-related content with his brothers, has died at 31 years old.

According to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office, Genal was found dead by suicide at his California residence on Dec. 11.

His brothers, Carson and Connor, confirmed news of his passing in a joint Instagram tribute on Dec. 15, where they expressed gratitude toward their fans for their kindness and support.

“I don’t even know where to begin,” read the post, which featured a photo carousel of the brothers. “You were my best friend and an even better big brother, my entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero.”

“I know one thing is for certain and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for.”

Garnering millions of views, Genal would often share videos alongside his siblings or friends, where they performed skits and challenges centered around food.

“We love you and will miss you eternally Tucker,” the post continued. “During this incredibly difficult time, we respectfully ask for privacy as we mourn and begin to navigate life without him.”

Genal, who amassed more than 2 million followers on his TikTok account, posted a video just hours before his death which displayed a compilation of photo memories from each month over the last year.

“Wish I could relive some of these moments twice,” he wrote. “Here’s a photo from every month this past year.”

Beloved fans and other content creators alike took to social media to share their emotional reactions to the news, including influencer and friend, Sean Schutt, who was a frequent guest in Genal’s videos.

“Tucker You gave me my motivation you brought a light in me that I never even knew I had,” Schutt wrote on Instagram. “You are the kindest most selfless person I knew. You always put others before yourself and you always knew how to care when no one else did.”

“I don’t know where I would have been without you man. YOU gave me Life. YOU showed me how beautiful life can be. I’m so blessed to have had you in my life. I will cherish ever moment and memory we shared together forever.”

Commenting under his latest video, fellow TikToker Zach Justice also mourned Genal for being the “kindest person.”
“I can’t believe this. Please check on your friends,” wrote Justice. “All love to him, his family, and all the people who loved him.”
