A Los Angeles judge has granted supermodel Cindy Crawford and her daughter, model, and actress Kaia Gerber, temporary restraining orders against a man they accuse of stalking, harassing, and threatening their family.
The temporary restraining order bars Schoonover from coming near Crawford, Gerber, or any of their properties. It also protects Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber, who was included in the request.
This is not the first time the Crawford-Gerber family has dealt with an alleged stalker. In 2022, a separate incident involving a man who falsely claimed that he shared a child with Crawford. That individual was later detained by law enforcement after appearing at her home.
Cindy Crawford, 59, rose to international fame as one of the original “supermodels” of the 1980s and 1990s, gracing the covers of “Vogue,” “Harper’s Bazaar,” and “Elle,” among many others.
Known for her signature beauty mark and poised runway presence, she became one of the most recognizable faces in fashion history. Crawford was part of the iconic group of models, including Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Claudia Schiffer, who helped define the era of the “supermodel,” transforming modeling into a form of global celebrity.
Her influence extended far beyond the runway. Crawford hosted MTV’s “House of Style” from 1989 to 1995, a show that gave viewers an inside look into the world of fashion and pop culture. Over the years, she has starred in countless campaigns for luxury brands including Versace, Revlon, Pepsi, and Omega, and she was named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People in the World” multiple times.
Beyond modeling, Gerber has branched into acting, appearing in FX’s “American Horror Story” and Apple TV+’s “Palm Royale,” where she stars alongside Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern.
Both mother and daughter have yet to publicly comment on the ongoing case. Additional court proceedings are pending.
