Estelle Harris, the actress known for her role in “Seinfeld” as character George Costanza’s mother, died over the weekend, according to her agent. She was 93.

“It is with the greatest remorse and sadness to announce that Estelle Harris has passed on today, leaving a hole in my heart too deep to describe,” her son Glen Harris said via agent Michael Eisenstadt. “Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were practically unrivaled, and she will be terribly missed by all those who knew her.”

“She always adored meeting and greeting children of all ages everywhere she went—and of course making them laugh. Her passion was her work, and her work was her passion,” the statement from Eisenstadt continued.

Born Estelle Nussbaum in New York City, she appeared in 27 episodes between 1992 and 1998. She was also featured as an actor and a voice actor in a number of programs, including “Futurama,” “The Looney Tunes Show,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “ER,” “iCarly,” “The Tick,” “Aladdin,” “Married ... With Children,” “Night Court,” and more.

According to Deadline Hollywood, she also appeared frequently in national TV commercials.

Other than “Seinfeld,” she’s also well-known for her work in “Toy Story 2.”

Jason Alexander, who played George in “Seinfeld,” mourned her passing.

“One of my favorite people has passed—my tv mama, Estelle Harris. The joy of playing with her and relishing her glorious laughter was a treat. I adore you, Estelle. Love to your family. Serenity now and always,” he wrote on Twitter.
She’s survived by three children—Eric, Glen, and Taryn—grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
