Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from country singer Keith Urban, after 19 years of marriage.

Kidman, 58, requested to dissolve her marriage to Urban, 57, on Sept. 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” according to records from Tennessee’s Davidson County Circuit Court obtained by The Epoch Times.

The filing, which will take at least 90 days to become final, comes just one day after news broke that the couple had separated in June, as reported by TMZ. Kidman spent time abroad in London filming her upcoming project “Practical Magic 2” while Urban embarked on his “High and Alive World Tour.”

Kidman and Urban share two daughters. Kidman requested to be named the primary residential parent in the custody agreement, with a childcare plan to be put in place.

“The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,” reads the requested parenting plan in the filing.

“They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

If approved by a judge, their children will spend 306 days per year with Kidman and 59 days each year with Urban.

Both Kidman and Urban will retain their own assets, without the need for childcare or spousal support, as each parent earns more than $100,000 per month.

The dissolution includes an equal division of joint assets, whereby the stars will keep everything that is in their own names. That also pertains to copyrights and royalties for their artistic work.

Urban and Kidman are both from Australia. They tied the knot in Sydney in 2006 after meeting at a Los Angeles gala the previous year. They raised their children in Nashville, where they have resided since 2007.

Up until their separation, the couple maintained a loving, unified front, praising one another and their relationship.
In an interview on Apple Music’s “The Zane Lowe Show,” in June, Urban credited his wife for helping him choose a path to sobriety nearly two decades ago.
“In 2006, when that happened, my wife called an intervention on me, I knew that was it,” the singer recalled at the time. “I’m like, ‘oh, this is that fork in the road. Here it is.’”
