Texas-born country singer Miranda Lambert is hosting a benefit concert this weekend to support communities affected by the severe flash floods that devastated her home state over the Fourth of July weekend.
The Grammy-winning musician will perform at the charity event, scheduled to take place on Aug. 17 at the Moody Center in Austin.
Fellow Texas natives Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson, Lyle Lovett, Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram, and Jon Randall are also among the artists slated to take the stage.
A variety of celebrities and athletes will make special appearances, including actors Matthew McConaughey and Dennis Quaid, former professional baseball pitcher Roger Clemens, and retired NFL quarterback Colt McCoy.
Tickets to the benefit concert were still available as of Thursday afternoon local time. The event will also be streamed on Lambert’s and McCollum’s respective Facebook and YouTube accounts.
All proceeds, including fees, will be donated to Make the Connection, an Austin-based foundation that supports various charitable causes through events and funding distributions. The organization will then allocate the funds to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.
Lambert first announced the benefit concert on July 18, writing on Instagram that she had “called up some good friends” to assist her in helping communities across Central Texas rebuild.

Just a couple of weeks earlier, heavy rains caused the Guadalupe River to surge in the early hours of July 4, leading floodwaters to ravage the Texas Hill Country region.
More than 130 people across several counties, including Kerr County, which was hardest hit, were confirmed dead as a result of the catastrophic flood.
Lambert is also scheduled to perform at country star Robert Earl Keen’s benefit concert on Aug. 28. The event, called “Applause for the Cause,” will take place at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, a suburb just outside of San Antonio.
More than a dozen other artists will also perform, including the country rock band Cross Canadian Ragweed and country singers Jon Randall, Jack Ingram, Aaron Watson, Cody Jinks, Jamey Johnson, and Rob Baird.
Keen’s concert—the proceeds of which also benefit the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country—is presented by the Texas-headquartered convenience store chain Buc-ee’s, which has already pledged $1 million to the charitable organization.
