Millie Bobby Brown Shines Light on Family Life After Adopting Baby Girl With Husband

The 21-year-old actress and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23, welcomed their first child via adoption this summer.

British actress Millie Bobby Brown is settling into motherhood after adopting a baby girl with her husband, model and actor Jake Bongiovi, earlier this year.

“It’s been a beautiful, amazing journey—she’s taught us so much already,” the “Stranger Things” star told British Vogue for the publication’s upcoming December issue.

“Perspective is a huge thing. The smaller things in life are so much more precious. Our days are filled with lots of cuddles and laughter and love. It’s just endless joy,” she said.

Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, first announced that their family had grown on Aug. 21, a little over a year after marrying in a private ceremony.

“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the young couple shared in a joint statement on Instagram. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”

And Baby Makes Three

Brown and Bongiovi, the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, are raising their daughter far away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood.

The couple lives on a rural farm in the Georgia countryside near Atlanta, where “Stranger Things” was largely filmed.

The property, she told British Vogue, is a veritable petting zoo. In addition to four cats and nearly a dozen dogs, the grounds serve as home to 40 farm animals, including goats, lambs, and donkeys.

“I moved to Atlanta to film ‘Stranger Things,’ and that was 10 years ago,” she explained during a March 2025 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“My parents didn’t want me to stay or live in LA. ... They really wanted to kind of shelter me from the society out here, just because it can be overwhelming for child actors,” she continued.

Brown—who was born in Marbella, Spain, and spent her early years in England—was only 12 years old when she first portrayed the character Eleven on Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, which debuted in July 2016.

The show’s fifth and final season is set to premiere in three parts, the first of which will air the day before Thanksgiving, with subsequent installments launching on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

The actress has since become a mainstay on Netflix, with leading roles in films such as “Damsel” (2024) and “The Electric State” (2025), the latter of which starred actors Chris Pratt and Stanley Tucci.

Brown has more than a handful of projects currently in production, among them “Enola Holmes 3,” a follow-up to Netflix’s 2020 and 2022 films of the same name.

She is also set to star in her first romantic comedy, Netflix’s “Just Picture It,” opposite Gabriel LaBelle.

According to a synopsis, the film “follows two college students who are surprised when their phones glitch and start showing them pictures from 10 years in the future—featuring them as a happily married couple with kids.”

Brown also serves as a producer on the rom-com, which began filming in September and is expected to debut sometime next year.
